Hello there! You may have been wondering what we were up to at tuxcademy. Here's some recent news:

We just completed the move of the tuxcademy server to its new home in the Hetzner cloud. It used to be hosted on a dedicated server that Anselm was sharing with a bunch of his friends, but we've recently decided that, looking at current prices for cloud-based hosting, that is no longer cost-effective. The www.tuxcademy.org server is now running comfortably out of a bunch of Docker containers deployed on Anselm's new “Docker Swarm”. We're pretty happy with this setup since it means we no longer have to worry about X.509 certificates, which our [https://traefik.io](Traefik) ingress server is keeping up to date on our behalf, courtesy of [https://letsencrypt.org](Let's Encrypt), and all the data is stored in triplicate on Hetzner's servers (we're still making regular backups, though). That is one load off Anselm's chest.
We're still seeing download rates of 6000-8000 PDFs per month, which is great.
The next thing on our slate is a comprehensive update of the LPIC-1 materials to match the new 5.0 version of the exams. Stay tuned! Anselm has a few more server moves to do but preparations for the new version of the books is ongoing.
