LPIC-1

LPIC-1 is the introductory certification of the Linux Professional Institute (LPI). It is geared towards Linux professionals of approx. 1 year's worth of experience and attests solid fundamental knowledge of diverse topics covering Linux usage and administration.

At Linup Front GmbH, we supported training providers and self-learners for years with high-quality study materials for LPIC preparation. Our LPIC-1 materials were the first German-language ones to be certified under the auspices of the “LPI Approved Training Materials” (LPI-ATM) programme, and our book, “LPI-Level 1” (published by the renowned German technical publisher, mitp), was the first German-language book for LPIC-1 preparation ever. Our instructors and authors taught preparatory classes and workshops for years. We plan to continue this proud tradition under the auspices of the tuxcademy project.

Our materials cover the full spectrum of exam objectives and, by virtue of their detailed explanations and exercises for self-study (with solutions), enable extensive and targeted preparation for the LPIC-1 certification exams. The LPI 101 exam corresponds to the content of the Introduction to Linux and Linux Administration I manuals, while the Advanced Linux and Linux Administration II manuals cover the content of the LPI 102 exam.
